A bit about our Owner-Workers Aaron Ellringer is the Marketing & Outreach Manager and the Farm Buyer. Aaron is also a Just Local Food delivery driver. Aaron has extensive experience in managing cooperatives, marketing small businesses and has been producing marketing materials for non-profits and small businesses in Eau Claire for over 15 years. He has also worked on local farms and in local grocery retail settings, rounding out his connections from farm to table. Aaron is married with two children, lives in Eau Claire, and is an avid gardener and bicyclist. Aaron is currently a full-time staff member of the co-op. Jordan Wolfe is JLFC’s Delivery Coordinator. As such Jordan organizes routes, prepares invoices for delivery and Accounts Receivable, and shares delivery responsibilities with Aaron. Jordan worked his way up to assistant manager at one of Eau Claire’s largest grocery stores during the past six years, and has firsthand knowledge of retail inventory systems and customer service. And he was envious of Joe's smaller letters (see bio later on this page), so Joe made part of this bio a bit smaller so he would feel a little better. Lissa Ziehr is the cooperative’s Order Processor and Customer Service Coordinator. Her education and experience lead her to the position of keeping the cooperative cohesive and efficient. Lissa graduated with honors in PC/LAN support and has accounting and PC tech experience. Lissa has Accounts Receivable responsibilities. Most recently a childcare provider, Lissa is happy to be involved with the cooperative using her skills to build a sustainable future for her daughter, Sophia. Joe Ziehr (Lissa's brother) One of UWEC's newest non-trads (old guy for those of you outside of the halls of learning.) You may see his smiling face on deliveries, at the store or at the farmers market. He is heading up buying club orders and issues and also handling the website...so it is his own darn fault that his bio is in smaller letters... Dave Ellringer is Aaron's papa and a darn good fella. Dave shares his time between Eau Claire and Colorado. When we are lucky enough to have him here he is an integral part of running the business -- keeping things in order, doing technical computer / internet work, assisting in all facets of the operation and generally lending a voice of experience. Ash Clough recently joined the team after relocating from Menomonie. Her energy and knowledge of natural foods (gained partially from prior work at Menomonie Market Co-op) has already proved indispensable. Ash is the shift scheduler and one of the strongest forces in keeping this place organized. Jennifer Tschernach also recently became a member of the JLF family. Even more recently she helped the family grow even larger with the arrival of baby Jonah. Jen is currently taking maternity leave but will dive back in soon enough. She has taken over some of the newsletter writing and marketing. And she is always searching out new and creative opportunities for public education and outreach. Ryan Peterson manages the coffee and bread departments. He also delivers milk on Fridays. He recently graduated from UWEC with a Bachelor of Science Degree and has lived in Eau Claire for three years. He is learning more every day and is excited to be a part of the cooperative as it continues to grow. |
